Massachusetts Hockey Goalie/Coach Clinics

Reviews from programs:

"The clinic went great. Brian did a fantastic job. A few of our goalies have worked with Brian in the past and were very excited to have him there. We're really trying to come up with a plan to create a culture of producing and developing goalies here in Dedham. This was great start in accomplishing that. Thank you for the opportunity and for setting up the session." --- Bob Bogie, Dedham Youth Hockey

The Registration "Massachusetts Hockey Goalie/Coach Clinics" is not currently available.

Massachusetts Hockey Goaltending Development is excited to offer Massachusetts youth hockey organizations the opportunity to host Goalie Coach clinics this season.

Goalie Coach Clinics are a new USA Hockey ADM initiative where youth hockey organizations donate ice, assign each of the organizations coaches to attend with their team’s goalies, and participate in a clinic led by a Mass Hockey Goaltending Development Advisory Group Member.

The goal of the clinics is to provide coaches the key elements of core goaltending drills as well as provide additional resources for further development.

The clinic will begin with a 30-minute presentation to the goalies and team coaches in which parents are welcome to attend.

Following the meeting, team coaches will meet with the goalie coach to go over the drills. The coaches will then proceed on the ice for a 60-minute clinic. The ice will be divided into stations based on the number of teams participating.

All of the coaches will assemble at “the demo” station where the goalie coach will explain and demonstrate the drill and then proceed to their own station to conduct the drill. After each drill, the coaches will return to “the demo” station for the next drill explanation and demonstration.

In order to register your youth hockey organization for a Mass Hockey Goaltending Development Goalie Coach Clinic, a board member must submit an application.

The organization must provide three potential dates and 60-minute ice times. The youth hockey organization will donate the ice time, and arrange for the organization coaches to attend.

The organization will be contacted by Massachusetts Hockey with the day and time selected as well as the name of the goaltending coach conducting the clinic.
