Sad News for Mass Hockey with Passing of David Friday

David W. Friday 78, of Framingham, died on Tuesday November 24, 2015.  He was He sat on the Board of Directors and coached Framingham Youth Hockey for many years and a Founding Member of Massachusetts.  He had 3 sons one played at RPI won a National Title in 86, other one played for Joe Mallen at UMB, other one played at Assumption for Bill Bowes, was a leader at Framingham Youth and former President, real classy guy.

David W. Friday 78, of Framingham, died on Tuesday November 24, 2015.  He was the loving husband of the late Janice (Neill), who died on September 25, 2014, they had been married for fifty four years. Born in Amsterdam, New York, son of the late Wilbur & Marcella (Lasher) Friday, he had been a Framingham resident for more than fifty years. David received his undergraduate degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1959, and received a graduate degree from Northeastern University in 1967. He was an Electrical Engineer with the Raytheon Equipment Development Labs Division for 42 years, and was an inventor and patent holder for a rotation limit device used on military equipment control panels. He sat on the Board of Directors and coached Framingham Youth Hockey for many years and a Founding Member of Massachusetts, as well as coaching Framingham Little League and Babe Ruth baseball. He is survived by three sons, Timothy & his wife Elizabeth of Southborough, David & his wife Patricia of Franklin, and Jason & his wife Mairin of Marshfield; two daughters Kathleen Fantoni & her husband Paul of Wayland, Ellen Bergmoser & her husband David of Cumming Georgia; thirteen grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Samantha, & John Friday, Jennifer, Austin, & Andrew Friday, Molly, Meghan, and Aislinn Friday, Maria & Elise Fantoni, Christopher & Jonathan Bergmoser; one brother, Peter Friday & his wife Kathleen of Amsterdam, New York, and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln Street, FRAMINGHAM, on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 from 4:30-8:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Anselm Church, Sudbury, Thursday morning, December 3, 2015 at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Amsterdam, New York. Remembrances may be made in David's name to the Alzheimer's Association , 480 Pleasant Street, - See more at: Boston Globe Obituary's
