Stoneham Youth Hockey hosted the Boston Bruins Street Hockey Brigade

On Friday, July 11th, Stoneham Youth Hockey hosted the Boston Bruins Street Hockey Brigade. The Brigade was led by Mike Dargin, Boston Bruins Director of Youth Hockey Development, who was accompanied by six Bruins Development Camp Players: Linus Arnesson, Cole Bardreau, Matt Benning, Colton Hargrove, Billy Sweezey, Emil Johansson, Oleg Yevenko. The event was part of the Boston Bruins Development Camp for new draftees and young players.

51 Stoneham Youth Hockey boys and girls, ages 6 to 12, enjoyed a bright, sunny afternoon of street hockey at the Robin Hood School. “Nice to see such happy kids,” commented Maureen Moment on Facebook. Melissa Thorne, mother of a Pink Team member wrote, “I love the big smile on my girl’s face”.

The Boston Bruins have been special friends to Stoneham Youth Hockey over the last several years. This was our second street hockey event in as many years. In addition, the Bruins are extremely generous in supporting SYH’s fundraising activities. “Mike Dargin always picks up his phone whenever I need anything; we owe a great deal to Mike and the Boston Bruins,” said Jim Maimone, SYH Learn-to-Skate and In-house Director.
