Three Players from Massachusetts Chosen in the 2024 NHL Draft

The 2024 NHL Entry Draft was the 62nd NHL Draft, held from June 28th, to June 29th, 2024 at the Sphere in Las Vegas, Nevada. Players from the draft include Cole Eiserman, Teddy Stiga & Ben Merrill. 

Cole Eiserman: Cole Eiserman, born on August 29, 2006, Cole is a 6-foot, 196-pound left wing from Newburyport, MA. Cole was selected by the New York Islanders in the 1st round of the draft (No. 20 overall). Cole's youth team the Islanders Hockey Club, this was followed by Cole being selected for USA Hockey's NTDP (National Team Development Program). Additionally, Cole has played on both the U.S. National U17 and U18 teams. Cole will be playing at Boston University this fall.

Teddy Stiga: Teddy Stiga, born on April 5, 2006 is a 5-foot-10, 179 pound left wing from Sudbury, MA. Teddy was selected by the Nashville Predators in the 2nd round (No. 55 overall) of the NHL draft. Teddy grew up playing for the Boston Jr. Eagles and went on to play for USA Hockey's NTDP (National Team Development Program). Additionally, Teddy has played on both the U.S. National U17 and U18 teams. Teddy is committed to play at Boston College this fall. 

Ben Merrill: Ben Merrill, born on November 5, 2005 is a 6-foot-four, 194-pound center from Hingham, MA. Ben was selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the 6th round (No. 166 overall) of the NHL Draft. Ben's youth teams include both the Boston Advantage and the Cape Cod Whalers. Ben went to school at St. Sebastians and will be playing for the Penticton Vees in the BCHL this coming season. Following that, Ben is committed to play at Harvard University starting in the 2025-26 season.
