Mass Hockey Mourns the Loss of Joseph Giuliotti

Massachusetts Hockey is saddened to share the news that Joseph "Joe" Giuliotti passed away peacefully at his Revere home on Friday, January 12, 2024 at 89 years old. 

Joe was raised in East Boston, attending Boston College High School followed by Boston College and Boston University and landed a job at the Boston Evening American (now known as the Boston Herald). 

Joe began covering sports where he started covering local colleges and then the Boston Bruins followed by a long career covering the Boston Red Sox. On the side, Joe began coaching  youth hockey which then lead to coaching at East Boston High School and Shawsheen Valley Regional Tech. This experience in combination with his college hockey reporting earned Joe a spot in the Massachusetts Hockey Hall of Fame, Class of 2018.

Memorial Donations

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Joe’s name to the Salesians Boys and Girls Club, 150 Byron Street, East Boston
