Massachusetts Hockey & the NWHL's Boston Pride announce official partnership

Massachusetts Hockey and the NWHL's Boston Pride are ecstatic to announce an official partnership, aimed at further growing girl's and women's hockey in the Bay State.

To kick off this partnership, each female registered hockey player age 14-and under in the state will receive a special Boston Pride hockey poster in the mail. The two organizations will launch a coaching ambassador program in the Fall of 2021. This program will enable youth organizations in Massachusetts to work with a Boston Pride player as a coaching ambassador to their program. The partnership will also yield the launch of additional co-marketing and player development initiatives.

Massachusetts Hockey has now become an Official Partner of the Boston Pride!

January 14, 2021 - The Boston Pride, the reigning champion of the 6-team National Women’s Hockey League announced an official partnership with Massachusetts Hockey in advance of their 2021 bubble season in Lake Placid, NY later this month. The two organizations are teaming up to continue the advancement of girls’ and women’s hockey in the Bay State by increasing visibility for the women’s game, and providing role models to the next generation.

“This partnership really hits home for our organization and many of us on a personal level,” said Boston Pride President, Hayley Moore who was raised in Wakefield, MA. “I remember growing up as the first girl to play in the Wakefield Youth Hockey program, with not a female coach insight. For our Boston Pride players to be able to work directly with the programs in Massachusetts and be role models for the next generations means everything to us.”

Female hockey players in Massachusetts should keep an eye on their mailboxes in mid-January and youth organizations can stay tuned for more information on the ambassador program coming out in late Spring of 2021.
