What impact has sports left on you?

As part of its #LifeisaTeamSport campaign, Positive Coaching Alliance/New England (PCA/NE) brings you #DearSports, an opportunity for young athletes, from elementary school to college to reflect and to share  what sports mean to them in this unique moment in time.

Athletes in elementary, middle, high school and college, are invited to consider the impact sports have had on you and to write a letter to your sport or sports sharing what you LOVE, MISS, and hope for in sports.

Letters should be one page and handwritten letters are encouraged, especially for elementary school athletes.  PCA/NE will feature #DearSports letters in its social media throughout the spring, and Franklin Sports has donated $100 gift certificates as prizes for contest winners for athletes in four categories: Elementary, Middle, High School & College.  Letters may be submitted through Friday, June 19.  Winners will be announced in June 2020

“The loss of sports has been crushing for so many young athletes”, said PCA/NE Executive Director, Beth O’Neill Maloney.  “It is important to encourage young athletes to reflect and to express themselves during these uncertain times. We’re asking young athletes to write a letter to their favorite sports sharing what they love, miss, and what they hope for when sports return.”
