MASSACHUSETTS HOCKEY Youth Opportunities

DEGREE®  YOUTH HOCKEY JERSEY PROGRAM

Degree
® , the official deodorant and antiperspirant sponsor of USA Hockey, is outfitting the 7/8, 9/10 and 11/12 year-old house league hockey teams with new jerseys in time for the start of the 2012-13 season. The Degree Youth Hockey Jersey Program will help give players a vote of confidence by providing 90,000 jerseys to teams nationwide, on a first-come, first-serve basis, while supplies last.

How do I know if my association qualifies to be a part of this program?
All registered USA Hockey 12U programs are eligible to participate in this program. The program will occur in two Phases.

Phase 1 begins April 3, 2012 at Noon EDT and will include a predetermined number of jerseys to be offered to associations who were not able to obtain jerseys in the ordering process last year.

Phase 2 will begin on April 5, 2012 at Noon EDT and will include the remainder of the jerseys to be available to all eligible associations, including those who did receive jerseys last year.

You will need your USA Hockey association code to place an order.

MB3 Never Quit Player Award

The player who is selected for this award:

  • Recognizes the value of hard work, is determined to be the best player he or she can be and perseveres through any and all obstacles to reach his or her goal
  • Is a true team player and values his or her teammates
  • Is enthusiastic about all aspects of the hockey experience (as a player, student of the game, observer, teammate)
  • Does whatever is asked of him or her and will play anywhere for the good of the team
  • Is reliable, sees practice and off-ice training as a means to an end
  • May not necessarily be the best player on the team
  • Is not necessarily the team’s super star

MB3 Unsung Hero Volunteer Award

The person who is selected for this award:

  • Is the person who dependable and committed to doing whatever needs to be done
  • Accepts the least desirable assignments without complaint
  • Goes above and beyond what is necessary - for the good of the kids
  • Is unassuming, unpretentious and is satisfied in knowing he or she made a difference in another’s life
