Massachusetts Hockey Welcomes Program Support Coordinator

Massachusetts Hockey is pleased to announce the addition of Mike DiOrio as its new Program Support Coordinator. DiOrio brings many years of experience working with a variety of members in the hockey community.

This new position will provide support and guidance for member associations and lead associations in program education and membership growth initiatives.

Executive Director Kevin Kavanagh is looking forward to having Mike join the team. "Mike's experience in the marketplace as a former player and his local knowledge made him a great fit for the position. He brings a great deal of enthusiasm to Massachusetts Hockey and will be an asset for our strong volunteer-based leadership around the state."

His most recent work experience includes working for over four years on the field activation service team (FaST) in the New England area for CCM Hockey. There, he was responsible for CCM product activation for the entire region, including stores, events and team fittings at the youth, high school and collegiate level.

Mike is a former player who participated in the Massachusetts Hockey Player Development program while attending high school at Catholic Memorial. He graduated from Northeastern University in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing.

President John Tobin said, "Mike's passion for Massachusetts Hockey is contagious and he is going to be a great fit. I am hopeful that our member programs take advantage of the support network we are putting in place for them. As a governing body, it is our desire and responsibility to provide an environment where our programs can grow and succeed and this position will play a significant role in allowing that."

Before working for CCM, he worked in digital and online commerce for Reebok International (2012).
