Take advantage of the initiatives available for Massachusetts Hockey programs.

Massachusetts Hockey provides subsidies to make the sport of ice hockey more enjoyable for our participants and make it easier for programs to offer a positive experience to their members. There are some exciting opportunities available for our members this upcoming season.

QuickChange Goalie Equipment:

The QuickChange goalie equipment system is a must-own for all youth hockey organizations with 6U and 8U programs. This equipment is specifically designed to make it easy for a coach or parent to convert a skater into a goalie. Within one minute, you can have your skater ready to play between the pipes. The set features a Youth L/XL goalie-padded jersey, 24-inch goalie leg pads and an equipment bag. Designed to fit over standard player equipment and for use by 6U (Farm) and 8U (Mite) players.

This subsidy of $95 will be offered to the first 50 Massachusetts Hockey programs that register to purchase up to two sets of QuickChange Goalie Equipment. Each registered program will pay $95 for the goalie equipment instead of $189.99 if purchased from TotalHockey.

An online store to purchase the equipment will open on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 9 AM EST and will close when the first 50 programs complete their purchases.

Massachusetts Hockey expects the allotment of equipment to be purchased relatively fast. Please act quickly if your program is interested.

Hard Dividers:

The approved dividers are quick and easy ways to divide the rink and provide cross-ice or half-ice training using the USA Hockey American Development Model. An age-appropriate playing surface allows players to increase the number of times they touch the puck, their puck possession time and overall speed in playing situations. This translates into quicker development of individual skills and a passion for the game.

This subsidy offers $2,500 to any Massachusetts Hockey registered program that wishes to purchase a set of “hard dividers” for their programs to play on age-appropriate playing surfaces, as required in the USA Hockey playing rules. Orders must be placed by July 31, 2016, In order to ensure delivery by September 1, 2016. Orders placed after July 31, 2016 may take longer to fulfill.

You must purchase by clicking on the Massachusetts Hockey Hard Divider Subsidy link to the register below.

Look Up Line:

The Look-Up Line™, ice hockey’s warning track, is an adjunct to decreasing the risk injuries along the boards. This thought provoking warning track extends 40-inches in width around the entire circumference of the rink. The Look-Up Line™ does NOT affect the speed, intensity or heritage of the game of hockey, or require any new playing rules.

This subsidy offers $500 to any Massachusetts Hockey registered program/ice rink that installs the Look Up Line. For more information, please visit the website click here.
