Dylan Rizzo suffered a traumatic brain injury and is making an impressive recovery.

Massachusetts Hockey player and volunteer coach Dylan Rizzo was featured on CBS Sunday Morning with Charles Osgood on Sunday, May 15th.

Dylan is making an incredible recovery from a traumatic brain injury sustained five years ago in a serious car accident. CBS has been filming his recover over the past three years. Due to the seriousness of his injury his chances of making a recovery where he wouldn’t be in a wheelchair or bed ridden were very slim.

According to Dylan’s father, Steve, there have been several research studies and articles published in medical journals and magazines on Dylan's case and his recovery.

Before his accident, he was a Level 3 USA Hockey coach who had been coaching at the bantam and midget level.

Dylan started playing hockey in 1999 at Lynnfield Youth Hockey, where as a midget he was on a USA Hockey national bound team and played in multiple Massachusetts Hockey state tournaments. He was also a member of the varsity Lynnfield high school ice hockey team.
