Communications Coordinator Joining Massachusetts Hockey

Elizabeth Cohen is Moving Off Ice into the Office

Massachusetts Hockey is pleased to announce the addition of Elizabeth Cohen as its communications coordinator. She joins the team with many years of experience in sports and social media.

At the age of 7, Cohen began playing ice hockey and hasn’t looked back. She comes to Massachusetts Hockey with a long history of playing, coaching and officiating ice hockey on Cape Cod and around the region. Some of the organizations she has been involved with include Barnstable Youth Hockey, Barnstable Recreation and the Cape Cod Waves and South Coast Sharks.

Her most recent work experience includes serving as social media director for the Cape Cod Baseball League and as skating professional at the Hyannis Youth & Community Center. She just completed her master's degree in professional studies in sports industry management at Georgetown University. Previously, she received her undergraduate degree in 2011 for Journalism from Northeastern University.

She has worked as a sports correspondent for The Boston Globe (2012), new media intern for the New England Sports Network (2012), new media trainee for the Washington Nationals (2013), communications trainee for the NFL Players Association (2013), game night staff for the Washington Capitals (2015) and skating professional for Kettler Capitals IcePlex (2015).
