Seven Massachusetts Natives selected in 2013 NHL Entry Draft

Three selected in the 4th Round

Massachusetts Hockey would like to congratulate the seven hometown boys whose names were called at the 2013 NHL Entry Draft last month. Massachusetts Hockey has proven its ability to develop some of the best players in the U.S. and the world. Thanks to our programs, coaches, parents and sponsors, these seven young men are now one step closer to realizing their dreams of playing in the National Hockey League.

Here’s a look at the state’s newest NHL draftees:

  • Miles Wood, LW, (Manchester, Mass.), 4th round, 100th overall, New Jersey Devils
  • Ryan Segalla, D, (Rockland, Mass.), 4th round/119th overall, Pittsburgh Penguins
  • Ryan Fitzgerald, C, (North Reading, Mass.), 4th round/120th overall, Boston Bruins
  • Anthony Florentino, D, (West Roxbury, Mass.), 5th round/143rd overall, Buffalo Sabres
  • Tim Harrison, LW, (Duxbury, Mass.), 6th round/157th overall, Calgary Flames
  • Chris LeBlanc, RW, (Winthrop, Mass.), 6th round/161st overall, Ottawa Senators
  • Brian Pinho, C, (North Andover, Mass.), 6th round/174th overall, Washington Capitals
