Massachusetts Hockey, Inc. (Mass Hockey) is an Affiliate of USA Hockey, Inc. for
the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. This is a national sanction under
federal law that allows Mass Hockey to implement USA Hockey programs, policies,
procedures and rules in the Commonwealth relative to the sport of ice hockey and
to initiate its own programs, procedures and rules to administer the sport in
Massachusetts. In this capacity, Mass Hockey runs open playdown
tournaments for national bound tournament teams at the Tier 1 and Tier 2 levels
and conducts various tryouts for national and state player development camps.
| Mass Hockey is not affiliated with any private for
profit and/or not for profit organizations such as the Massachusetts
Satellite Training Program and the Massachusetts Selects Hockey League
in performing these activities. While organizations, programs, teams,
leagues and individuals may claim to be sanctioned by Mass Hockey or be
under its supervision and have special access to its national bound
playdowns or development camps, that is not the case. If anyone
has a question about any of Mass Hockey activities, you should contact
Keri-Anne Allan, President or Steve Palmacci, USA Hockey District
Registrar to clarity the matter. Their contact information is in
Mass Hockey's Annual Guide. |

We get a lot of requests to put information on the website, some of it is to
support individual business or charities. Many of which we decline because
it does not support the mission of Massachusetts Hockey. Every once in a
while we do get requests to link to informational sites that provide information
to players and parents that we think could be helpful. Posting these links
in no way suggests support of these sites or information, but we do feel that
our members could benefit from the information provided .

Clarification of Mass Satellite Program and Massachusetts Hockey Development
Programs
The Mass Satellite Program is a privately run program
that is no longer affiliated with USA or Mass Hockey and does not provide access
to USA Hockey or Mass Hockey development camps. The players from the tryouts
available on this page will be competing for a slot at the Festival.
Players at the Festival will then be chosen to attend the National
Development Camp to represent Massachusetts Hockey. The Cunniff Overnight
Camp is the State version of the Development Camp. There will also be Mass
Hockey Day Camp.
